RSC Recognized In ACR October Bulletin

The October issue of the ACR Bulletin is dedicated to breast imaging, screening practices, and how radiologists as a specialty can work towards creating better patient engagement and care. There is a spotlight on breast imaging, and it has a photo highlighting Connecticut’s successful effort this past session to require health insurance coverage of Breast Tomosynthesis, HB 5233, Public Act 16-82.

View the ACR article regarding the challenges of getting regulators and legislators to make digital breast tomosynthesis, DBT, accessible to patients, online here or download the PDF.

Pictured are Linda Kowalski, RSC lobbyist and Executive Director, State Rep. Themis Klarides, who serves as House Republican Leader and Eugenia Brandt, ACR’s director of state affairs. (L. to R.) Eugenia attended the June 7th RSC Semi-Annual Membership Meeting and was the featured speaker. Rep. Klarides was a leader in the effort to pass the health insurance coverage requirement for Tomosynthesis for breast cancer screenings. It is great to see our state chapter recognized for their work and efforts. We appreciate the support from the ACR.
