Medicare Reimbursement Update from Dr. Thomas Farquhar, RSC Vice President & Legislative Chair
As many members know, CSMS had proposed significant cuts in Medicare fees.
We applaud the action of Congress. Health care legislation finalized by the Senate on December 9, 2021, granted radiologists and other providers a reprieve from potential Medicare reimbursement cuts to take effect Jan. 1. The President signed the bill, S. 610 on Friday, December 10, 2021. The House had previously passed it.
We thank those RSC members who contacted their federal legislators on this important issue.
