Exciting and Timely Guest Speakers Announced:
In keeping with the general theme of the guest speaker segments of our meetings – the challenges facing the future of radiology and radiologists – we will have two very good speakers who will share with us insights and information regarding two more issues that many of us have been considering.
Murray Reicher, MD, joins us from San Diego. Murray is a visionary in our field who led a top private practice in San Diego. He is also the co-founder, and former CEO, of DR Systems, one of the premier and most innovative PACS. Although one of the longest-standing independent PACS vendors, DR Systems was purchased by Merge, which was then purchased by IBM, with obvious implications for machine learning and artificial intelligence. Murray will talk about opportunities for radiologists in uncertain times.
In addition, we will have Tom Schovee, CEO of MBMS, LLC, with a medical billing company, with many radiology practices of various sizes. He was the invited speaker at the April meeting of the ACR Future Trends Committee. He will share with us a clear and concise summary of the various options available to radiology practices with respect to affiliations, sale, etc.
Dr. Kaye hopes to follow their talks with an opportunity for questions & answers and comments from our RSC members in the audience.
