Randal “Randy” Roat, CHBME, FRBMA
Chief Operations Officer at Strategic Radiology

Randy Roat, Strategic Radiology’s Chief Operating Officer, will be the speaker for the RSC Semi-Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, September 13^th, at the New Haven Lawn Club.  He will discuss Current Trends and Drivers in the Evolution of Radiology. The presentation will center around the environmental, regulatory and legislative conditions and challenges that will dictate the way that radiology is practiced.

An expert in radiology revenue cycle management, compliance, and operations, Mr. Roat began his career in medical software development and launched The TriMed Group in 1989, a developer and provider of radiology billing and practice management software. He transacted the sale of that company to CBIZ/MMP in 2007, and subsequently served as its national Vice President of Radiology Services. Upon joining Strategic Radiology, Mr. Roat’s first project was facilitating the development and listing of the coalition’s Patient Safety Organization. He has held national leadership positions with the Healthcare Billing Management Association and the Radiology Business Management Association, which granted him the Calhoun Award. Areas of expertise include strategic planning, organizational governance and management, and mergers and acquisitions.
